Birmingham Festival Theatre
As the longest running blackbox theatre in Alabama says goodbye to its home of 53 years, the importance of artistic expression and support for arts makers in our current era has never been more urgent. The first of its final two nights, May 1st, the Birmingham Festival Theatre in 5 Points South has coordinated with Laughing Impact Project to sign the night onto the national Fall of Freedom campaign, with partnering support from area grassroots organizers like Birmingham 50501 and others. Comedian Matt Davis will host as a variety of past performers take the stage to perform one last time.
